D&D 5E - Major Image 5e
Okay I noticed that Major Image has it's area of effect =to it's range, which means that a Sorcerer can use distance spell metamagic to double both. But here is the question, after casting does the range from the spot where you originally cast your spell, or does it always project out from you. So say a Sorcerer casts Distance Major Image for a range of 240 feet, is that 240 feet in every direction around him? And does the centre of the range move with the caster. Like could the caster create an illusary Deva 240 feet away, then walk up to the Illusionary Deva anduse an action to movie it a 240 feet further away from the character? If so it seems like the caster could take their major image with them on their travels?
